“The perfect partnership” by Edward BearOnce upon a time…a lot of tail wags ago
On highest, deepest, greenest Exmoor, I was born.
Pure gold runs through my veins,
Even the sun is enhanced by my coat.
I am golden.
I work hard and play lots.
I lead, follow, I obey, I love,
I am golden.
On a wet and windy day in deepest winter,you chose me-or did I choose you?
Was I made to care for you or you for me?
You have taught me. I have taught you.
You watch me – I watch you.
You laugh, I dance, I sit, roll over, open, close and 100 other things.
You feed, groom, protect, love and 100 other things.
I rely on you – you rely on me.
Do I lead – do you follow?
Am I your shadow or are you mine?
You hold my lead – I hold your heart-
EMBOSSED IN GOLD.
In this wonderful, crazy, magical world we have pledged the
Perfect
Partnership.
I am with you always-
TIL THE END OF TIME.
